Role Overview

As a Montessori Directress, you will guide children through meaningful activities, prepare high quality Montessori environments and foster the development of independence and curiosity. You will work closely with the team to uphold Montessori principles across the setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Montessori environment for your age group
• Present Montessori materials and guide children through independent learning
• Support emotional, social and cognitive development
• Observe children and plan for individual progress
• Create calm, purposeful and child centred learning spaces
• Maintain high standards of Montessori practice
• Build strong partnerships with families
• Support colleagues and contribute to whole nursery development

Requirements

• AMI 0 to 3 or AMI 3 to 6 qualification
• Strong understanding of Montessori pedagogy
• Calm, patient and respectful approach to children
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to high quality child centred education
