Role Overview

The Early Years Practitioner supports children’s learning, development and wellbeing by creating a safe, stimulating and caring environment. You will work as part of a supportive team while delivering high quality practice under the EYFS and Montessori approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning through play and exploration
• Provide a caring, safe and nurturing environment
• Plan and deliver age appropriate activities within the EYFS
• Observe children and contribute to learning records
• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent
• Understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
• Warm, patient and positive approach to working with children
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Interest in Montessori education is an advantage
