Role Overview
The Deputy Manager supports the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery and ensures that all children receive exceptional emotional, educational and developmental care. This role involves leading and mentoring staff, maintaining high standards of practice and ensuring compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Nursery Manager with day to day operations
• Lead staff teams and promote high quality practice
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of all children
• Support with staff supervision, training and performance
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
• Maintain compliance with the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
• Support planning, curriculum development and quality assurance
Requirements
• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification, Level 4 or 5 preferred
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
• Experience in a senior or leadership position
• Interest in Montessori pedagogy, training provided
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate, support and inspire a team
