The Settings and Facilities
Nestled in the heart of Linton, a charming town on the outskirts of Cambridge, our Montessori nursery is set within a historic period building—the Old Station. With its rich history and timeless character, the setting has been carefully designed to provide an authentic Montessori experience. Linton is a vibrant community known for its wildlife center, traditional pubs, and scenic vineyards, offering a picturesque and inspiring backdrop for early childhood education. Just minutes away from Linton Zoo and Exhibition Centre, our nursery benefits from the perfect balance of nature, heritage, and learning.
Every element of our setting is bespoke-made to adhere to authentic Montessori standards, ensuring a nurturing and thoughtfully prepared environment for children at different developmental stages. Our nursery is divided into distinct areas, each tailored to meet the needs of the children as they grow and explore the world around them.
Nido (The Nest) – Under 2 Years
Our Nido provides a calm, familiar environment where babies begin their day through a dedicated entrance. With a gentle routine of songs, movement, and play, our highly trained staff nurture early independence and sensory exploration. The space features Montessori-designed play equipment, low furniture, and safe exploration areas indoors and outdoors, promoting natural development in a secure and loving setting.
Infant Community (IC) – Rising 2 to 3 Years
As children grow, they move into the Infant Community, a space designed to support independence, movement, and early social skills. Through hands-on Montessori activities, children refine their coordination, develop language, and explore practical life skills in a warm and engaging environment. With child-sized furniture, accessible shelves, and interactive materials, this space fosters confidence and curiosity in an age-appropriate way.
Children’s House (Casa dei Bambini) – 3 Years+
For children aged three and beyond, the Children’s House provides an enriched, self-directed learning environment where independence and creativity thrive. Designed as a miniature society, this space includes practical life activities, early literacy and numeracy work, sensorial exploration, and nature-based learning. With a strong focus on freedom within limits, the Children’s House lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Each area within our nursery reflects our commitment to nurturing each child’s potential, allowing them to thrive at their own pace in a setting that is both inspiring and developmentally appropriate.
